AMD

I am sixty years old and I have blurred vision. What can be the problem?

In old age, apart from cataract and glaucoma, age related macular degeneration(AMD) is a major cause for dimness of vision. Here symptoms vary from slight dimness of vision to distortion of images to profound vision loss, depending upon type and stage of AMD. Treatment for AMD is available in early stages. In late stage, patient is left with permanent loss of central vision.
